Tintin in America. Hergé. Great Britain, Methuen Children's Books. 1990. Comic Book, 4/5 rating
In 'Tintin in America', the reporter for Le Petite Vingtième, Tintin along with his doggy companion, Snowy go to Chicago in America to report about the city's mob crime organisations. During his trip, he encounters mb bosses such as Al Capone and later in the book, Bobby Smiles. After escaping a gang kidnapping, he goes after Smiles all the way to the Midwest of Redskin City. After capturing Smiles, he returns to Chicago with Smiles arrested, but then Snowy gets kidnapped and the captors send Tintin a ransom note, to which Tintin successfully finds Snowy and puts all the captors behind bars.
This is one of my favourite comic books as it was one of the first comics I have read and it was great to read, as it was full of mystery and action in a friendly way. I also like the different character personalities, as they were all engaging, even Snowy, who is a dog, and yet I could see the emotional response from Snowy as well.
